Cub Scout & Webelos Programs

Cave Spring offers the following clinics for Boy Scouts. These may be scheduled Tuesday - Saturday between 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. with clinics lasting two hours.

A minimum of 10 scouts are required to hold a clinic. Cave Spring provides the supplies, instruction, and cleanup. Print our Registration Form and send it in with your payment. Or, call 816-358-2283 to make arrangements to be sent a reservation form. Be sure to read our Cancellation Policy.

Cancellation / Inclement Weather Policy

Due to the nature of our scheduling we do not offer refunds for cancellations. In the event of inclement weather you may choose to reschedule, have an indoor program (class size permitting, not available for self-guided tours), or receive a credit to be used at any time in the future.

Night Hikes

Come enjoy a hike through the woods, visit the cave, & learn about the habits of nocturnal animals.

Then it’s to the fire ring where the Scout troop leaders demonstrate fire building & discuss fire safety. Once the fire’s flaming it’s time to roast marshmallows!

Cave Spring provides marshmallows, roasting sticks & firewood. Scouts bring flashlights, sit-upons & kindling for fire.

 

Self Guided Hikes

Would your troop like to visit Cave Spring just for a hike? Then sign up for a one-hour self-guided tour.

Your troop’s adventure begins with a visit to the center to view the exhibits. Then its outdoor fun along the hiking trails as you lead your troop on a nature and history scavenger hunt.

Cave Spring provides a trail manual for the leader and scavenger hunt booklets for each scout.

 

Camp Overs

$25 per troop per night and a Good Turn service project.
